Instant Pot lo mein

If you wish for a simple Chinese dinner, then this is for you.

Ready in: 15 mins (Prep: 10 mins, Cook: 5 mins)

Ingredients

  • Diced clove of garlic – 1
  • Sesame oil – 1 tablespoon
  • Linguine pasta, broken in half – 8 oz
  • Snow peas, sheared – 1 cup
  • Broccoli florets – 1 cup
  • Carrots (sliced and diced into sticks) – 2
  • Chicken broth – 1 1/2 cups
  • Mashed ginger – 1 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce – 2 tablespoons
  • Oyster sauce – 1 tablespoon
  • Rice wine – 1 tablespoon
  • Light brown sugar – 1 tablespoon


  • Method

    1. Place garlic and sesame oil to Instant Pot. Set Instant Pot at sauté settings and cook garlic until translucent. Add Set to sauté function and when pot is heated, cook garlic until lightly browned. Add noddles and vegetables with vegetables at the top of the noodles
    2. Using a bowl, mix  chicken broth, ginger, soy sauce, oyster sauce, rice wine and brown sugar and then add to the Instant Pot
    3. Cook for 5 minutes  and serve ( Please note after cooking your noodles may look watery at first but as it cools, the water will evaporate, stir for a while before serving)
