AAUW International Fellowships for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Students

The American Association of University Women (AAUW) is the leading proponent of women’s and girls education and equity. This organization has been in existence since 1917. Since then, there have been various limited awards available to women who belong to Graduate Women International.

They also support both graduate and postgraduate studies at US institutions.

Scholarship Requirements:

Applicants are supposed to meet the following conditions to be qualified for this scholarship program:

  • Be a citizen of another country other than us or possess a non-immigrant visa even though residing in the U.S. women who currently or hope to be permanent residents to all citizens of the US during the fellowship year are ineligible to apply. 
  • Must be holders of an academic degree which was obtained in the US or abroad.
  • Intend to do a full-time course during the fellowship year. 
  • Must be willing to return their home country upon completion of the programme to begin a career
  • Be proficient in the English language and prove this by handing in evidence of having passed certain English proficiency exams, result transcripts from recognized Anglophone institutions and a document that verifies that indeed the applicant’s native language is English.
  • Applicants who intend to do a master’s or doctoral degree must have sent an application by November 15, 2023, to an approved study institution for the period of the fellowship year. The name of this institution must be indicated in your submission. Acceptance from the school prior to  applying, is not compulsory,but there must be an official confirmation from the institution.
  • Applicants that already have a postdoctoral degree must provide evidence of their certificates. They will also indicate where they intend to conduct their research.
  • Applicants going for a first professional degree or masters, must be enrolled in an American university that is accredited
  • Applicants must note that they can apply to the fellowship for any of the programs but it must be a full year. This fellowship does not award scholarships for half year or partial year research.

Western Kentucky University Tipi Scholarships for African Students

Located in Bowling Green, Kentucky, Western Kentucky University welcomes African students to apply for its Tipi scholarships. Peace University was founded in 1906, though its roots go back about 25 years earlier.

The Tipi Scholarships aim to increase opportunities for further education in the United States. They are also focused on improving the quality of life for those they can access and providing an all inclusive approach to celebrating diversity. 

The full meaning of TIPI is Tuition Incentive Program International Scholarship.

Scholarship Requirements:

Applicants applying for the scholarship must meet the following conditions to qualify:

  • Applicants must be holders of an F1 visa
  • Candidates must meet the admission requirements of the Western Kentucky University.
  • Proficiency in the use of  English.

Scholarship Duration and Reward

Scholarships take care of tuition fees.

University of Mississippi Undergraduate Scholarships For International Students

The University of Mississippi, colloquially known as Ole Miss, is the state’s flagship university. It is in the elite group of doctoral universities that have high research activity.

The University of Mississippi has a history of producing elite leaders in different spheres and fields. 

The Mississippi undergraduate scholarships is for undergraduates seeking funding for further studies at higher institutions.

The scholarships are awarded to students who are deserving of academic merit. It’s possible that students can receive scholarships for the duration of four years towards a bachelor’s degree.

Scholarship Requirements:

Applicants for this program must meet the following conditions to qualify.

  • Must be categorized as an international student for payment of tuition fee.
  • Applicants must possess the relevant certification necessary for admission into a United States higher institution.
  • Must be an adept leader and display exceptional academic prowess.
  • Must be proficient in the use of written and spoken English.
  • Must be on ground to begin the new session if the application was approved.

Scholarship Duration and Reward

The scholarship award ranges from $3,900 to $23,454, which is estimated to be between 15% -95% of the tuition fees or from 9%-55% of the total cost of the study.

Generally, scholarships are awarded at the beginning of the fall term and cannot be deferred or transferred. However, it has been renewed on the condition that there is very reasonable academic progression and that our deal is meeting the required grades. In addition, a lawful presence must be maintained in the USA. Students who receive the scholarship can be awarded it for up to four years during their first bachelor’s degree.

Scholarships are given towards tuition fees and non-resident fees. These scholarships might be held in conjunction with other ones, but they must not exceed the full tuition and non-resident fees.

Required Documents

The documents required to apply for this scholarship are as follows:

  • Official transcripts and degree certificates of your high school education or any higher institution attended are to be submitted by mail. There must also be the presence of an English translation. Students who have done up to 10 transferable courses do not need to hand in transcripts from their high school.
  • If your transcripts and degree certificates are not in English you must provide the translated copy.
  • Letter of English proficiency must be provided.
  • A sworn affidavit of a bank statement and financial aid is needed while submitting.
  • A Copy of national passport page(s).

Barry University Stamps Scholars Program for Undergraduate Students

The Barry University Stamps Scholars Program is an initiative aimed at investing in a select group of academically outstanding incoming freshmen who have an interest in service and leadership. Barry University provides a full merit scholarship. 

The Barry University program offers multiple scholarships for its students who want to achieve academic and life goals.

The award can be renewed every year, but this will be based on a progressive grade point average, community service conditions, and leadership training.

Scholarship Requirements:

To be qualified for this scholarship, you must meet the following requirements:

  • The scholarship is open to students in their freshman year. They could be a citizen from the USA, resident or foreign student
  • A high school GPA that is 3.5 or higher.
  • Displayed and shown active leadership.

Scholarship Duration and Reward

It is a renewable scholarship that can be renewed every year. This covers all your tuition, transportation, and accommodation.

There is an additional stipend of $6000 to study abroad. 

  • A faculty member is assigned to you who acts as your advisor in academics for the focus of your major.
  • Encounter new cultural adventures.
  • Leadership training and service activities.
  • Receptions and dinner with the donors and faculty.

Concordia University Scholarships for International Students

Concordia University is one of the highest ranked universities in the United States. It is located in the city of Montreal, Canada. It was founded in the last 50 years and sees about 51,000 students on a yearly basis. This is possible through its diverse approach to practical learning and multifaceted research.  

The Concordia scholarship covers full tuition fees for the 2033/24 academic year.

  • Candidates must have a high school record that shows good academic performance on your certificate.
  • Candidates must have a TOEFL score above 6.5

The scholarship award goes towards tuition fees, university accommodation, and food. 

However, this scholarship doesn’t cover class fines and fees.
